General Manager - Integrated Primary Care(IPC)

Job Purpose: The General Manager is responsible for all daytoday operations of C&WIPC including planning, co ordinating and managing all business operations; new business developments; engagement; communications and logistics. The General Manager will act as a direct liaison between the Directors and employees of C&WIPC and will communicate on behalf of the C&WIPC to employees, commissioners and other stakeholders.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: Establish the corporate infrastructure to ensure CWIPC is fit for purpose and able to operate as an effective, efficient and successful organisation. Oversee current business systems and processes, and where required, evaluate and improve these.
Input into the formulation and oversight of company policies and procedures and implement these. Provide regular reports to the Board and commissioners as required. Lead on all people management issues around recruitment and training. Provide leadership and support for CWIPC staff.
Review of the annual business plan and supporting implementation plans. Provide strategic financial management, including adoption and management of the annual budget. Provide support and work collaboratively with the Directors. Active engagement and relationship building with shareholders, stakeholders and key partners.
Ensure C&WIPC complies with Companies House and all other legal and statutory requirements. Management of the companys service contracts and reporting to the commissioners. Competencies: Strategic thinking and the bigger picture to work with the Board to create and review the strategy of C&WIPC year on year and longer term.
Listening and Communication to listen and communicate effectively with all employees. Decision making and delegation work with the Board to determine the future of the organisation, ensure all stakeholders are considered, develop appropriate schemes of delegation to ensure the right people make the right decisions at the right level.

Understand and action to mitigate risks short term: projects, customers, contracts and longer term: business model, market environment, regulation changes To understand the business sector in which C&WIPC operates.
To communicate and engage with shareholders and other external organisations and people. To be proactive and reactive to business opportunities. Promote a culture which encourages teamwork, sharing of best practice and continuous improvement. Encourage supporting staff to collaborate through sharing information and intelligence across different activities.
Other: Undertake additional duties in agreement with the C&WIPC Board as consistent with the grade of the post.
