A day in the life within pharmacy

This qualification will enable you to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) at the end of your training placement. The trainee is supported throughout the training period, and with support, will learn to complete a range of tasks within timescales to a competent standard.
You will undertake and complete an apprenticeship to obtain a Certificate of Higher Education in Pharmacy Technician Practice . This will involve working with an assessor to develop a work-based portfolio; undertaking work-based assessments, and completing assignments.

Your apprenticeship training will be with an accredited education provider. The apprenticeship is a 24-month programme and you will be employed through East Kent Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for the duration of the apprenticeship.

To be eligible for consideration for a Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician interview you must meet all the essential criteria and have:

 •  Minimum of three GCSEs at Grade A*- C/9-4 including Mathematics, English Language and Science
 •  Original copies of the above certificates will need to be shown at interview (failure to do so will result in cancellation of the interview)
 •  please check eligibility criteria regarding apprenticeships (more information provided in Job Description document attached)
