Job Title: Electrical Project Manager
Location: Eastleigh and south coast
Salary: £65-70K + company vehicle
The Role:
• Responsible for all electrical aspects of projects.
• Overseeing 2-3 projects at one time which generally consists of a Site Supervisor/Manager and subcontract labour. Commercial Mechanical projects up to the value of £2m (electrical) - Offices, Healthcare, Higher Education, Museums etc. Mainly London based.
• Responsible for effective relationship management with clients & working partners to achieve smooth operational and commercial progression of projects.
• Making sure health, safety & welfare is maintained and adhered to at project/site level.
• Managing projects from contract signature stage, through all phases until handover to the end user.
• Ensuring that all related design information is correctly and fully audited to secure overall compliance.
• Overseeing all elements of the overall commissioning process to ensure that the installations are correctly commissioned.
• Ensuring that complete and comprehensive records are collated and maintained covering all aspects of quality control, system/equipment testing, water treatment, commissioning and equipment maintenance.
• Working closely with the Quantity Surveyor for progress reports and to ensure all commercial and contractual requirements are correctly fulfilled.
• Attend on site meetings, as and when required.
• Overseeing the preparation of operation & maintenance manuals.
• Providing technical support and expertise to the internal project team
• Managing variation costings and control with the Quantity Surveyor and main contractor.
• Responsible for handover to clients and after care.
• Role based between projects and the London office.
• Working hours: 8-5, Mon-Fri.
• Reporting to the Operations Director.
The Company:
• 100 years experience delivering MEP projects in London and surrounding areas.
• Offices based in Southampton and Eastleigh
• Currently at around 90 employees.
• This company is currently at around £18m turnover per annum.
• This hire is due to the company growth. Winning more and more work.
The Ideal Candidate: Will have 5+ years experience working as an Electrical Project Manager.
Will have previous experience working with commercial projects up to the value of £2m (Mechanical).
Will hold a Black CSCS Managers Card. SSSTS/SMSTS and HND/HNC advantageous.
Will work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
Will have excellent communication skills.
Will be willing to work in London everyday.
