Teaching Personnel is seeking a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a pupil in a school in the Newbury area.
About the Role:
- Position: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant
- Location: Newbury and surrounding areas
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract: Full-time and part-time opportunities available
- Salary: Competitive, paid weekly
Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, ensuring they can fully access learning
- Assisting with classroom activities and personalised learning plans
- Encouraging social interaction and building confidence
- Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEND or additional needs (preferred but not essential)
- A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A Level 2 or 3 qualification in education or childcare (desirable)
- An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
