We have a role available for a Mechanical Fitter to work in Warrington.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Strip, inspect, and record conditions of Power Transmission equipment.
• Identify and address areas of concern, producing concise reports re repair & refurbishment requirements.
• Liaise with colleagues to determine failure modes and potential improvements.
• Rebuild Power Transmission equipment, perform mechanical fitting, and conduct testing.
• Occasional customer interactions regarding technical issues, commissioning, and de-commissioning.
• Overhaul equipment at customer sites, including occasional travel in the UK.

Essential Qualifications:

• Recognised Engineering Qualification (Minimum Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship).
• Good understanding of mechanical systems.
• GCSE Maths and English.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Practical experience in workshop practices.
• Proficient in manual measurement equipment and reading engineering drawings.
• Ability to rig, lift industrial equipment, and adjust tolerances in assemblies.
• Testing, recording data, and practical knowledge of Power Transmission equipment.

Knowledge Base:

• Understanding of fasteners, bearings, seals, and standard engineering features.

Advantageous Skills and Experience:

• Mechanical service and repair experience.
• Work experience in an industrial, workshop, or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of engineering materials, properties, treatments, and use of machine tools.
