Part Time (0.4 FTE) Teacher of Humanities from September 2025 (with a specialism in History and/or Geography
We require a well-qualified part time (0.4 FTE – 2 full days) teacher of History and/or Geography from September 2025.
Applicants must have a strong academic background and an enthusiasm for the subject. The successful applicant will be expected to teach across the full ability range in the Secondary School and Sixth Form, to deliver a range of lessons which follow the current schemes of work and will be expected to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school.
The preferred candidate will have an aptitude to motivate and stretch pupils and students of all abilities, bring forward new or alternative ideas in the teaching of History and have good communication skills. An ability to be a committed team player will be of an advantage; examples may include help with the preparation of new schemes of work to comply with changes to both GCSE and A level, supporting revision sessions, contributing to clubs, and assisting in quizzes and competitions.Assistance would also be required on any of the Humanities visits and events that take place.
Remuneration will be set according to qualifications and experience. All teachers are members of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.
Applicants must have a good, relevant degree and have a PGCE. Applications are welcomed from those new to the teaching profession and full support is provided in regards to ECT training.
