Family Support Worker - Birkenhead

About the Role

We are seeking a Supervised Contact Worker for an immediate start to support children and families by facilitating safe and positive contact sessions. This role is crucial in ensuring that children can maintain relationships with family members in a structured and supportive environment.

• Supervise and facilitate contact sessions between children and family members.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children during contact.
• Observe and record interactions, producing detailed and accurate reports.
• Provide support and guidance to families where required.
• Work in partnership with social workers and other professionals.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.

• Experience working with children and families in a social care setting.
• Strong observational, communication, and report-writing skills.
• An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Ability to remain impartial and professional in sensitive situations.
• A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle (if required for the role).
