Colposcopy Coordinator-Gynaecology | East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work within our Women’s & Children’s division. You should an eye for detail accuracy will need to be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Have the ability to work without direct supervision, be able to prioritise and manage workloads.

The post holder will be the point of contact and communication for general practitioners, consultant colleagues, nursing staff, administrative and other hospital staff, patients, relatives and outside agencies and you must be a team player.

The post holder will co-ordinate the work within the Colposcopy Department to facilitate the smooth running of the service by ensuring robust management and streamlined administrative processes that revolve around the patient and their individual needs in alignment with agreed timeframes.

The post holder will proactively manage and track via a daily patient tracking list all Colposcopy referrals ensuring that patients are booked by the Colposcopy booking clerk within the set timeframes. They will work closely and liaise with, Patients, GP’s, Consultants/Colposcopists, Cytology, Nurse Specialists, Health Records and the management teams within the Trust.

The post holder will be required to support the Department’s Lead Colposcopist for mandatory quality assurance audits when required. They will be responsible for the managing the MDT process and assisting in the completion of the quarterly KC65 report, maintaining databases for the Colposcopy service to meet the requirements of the national cervical screening programme.

The post holder will also gain knowledge and understanding of the Hysteroscopy Service, providing relevant cross cover across the 2 services.
