Support Workers Wanted for Disabled Writer-Filmmaker

No previous care experience necessary but must demonstrate a willingness to learn.
Training will be provided by the employer and current team of Support Workers.

WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?Support Workers wanted for an award-wining writer-filmmaker in her early 30's who requires COMPLEX CARE care because she has a Neuromuscular condition and is a full-time wheelchair user, who needs support with London life, work and personal care.
This is not a live-in position.
TASKS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
PERSONAL CARE:- Washing and dressing
- Administering medication
- Hoisting and manual handling
- Support with daily physio
- Cooking / Cleaning / Laundry / Shopping
- Collecting prescriptions, packages, posting mail etc.
- Accompanying to health appointments
- Work meetings e.g. rehearsals, screenings, filming, theatre, cinema, galleries etc.
- Swimming, shopping, trips out of London and travelling abroad
Monday to Sunday. Will work up to 25+ hours flexible per week (more hours available if desired) with shifts ranging from day and overnight shifts.
£16 per hour and £16.50 per hour overnight (8 hours = £132 per night) on a PAYE contract. Which means you’ll be entitled to 5.6 weeks annual leave and sick leave.

A valid passport or work permit, a minimum of 2 references and an enhanced DBS check are essential to this post. Applicants will be required to have a current enhanced DBS check or be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check. The expense for this will be covered by the employer.
