Job Purpose

The Equity Derivatives and Communication Platforms Sales Executive in the Trading Solutions team at ICE works with a range of market participants in positioning the QuoteBoard platform and ICE Chat Communications platform. Quoteboard and ICE Chat are widely used by trading houses, hedge funds, investment banks, brokers, and large financial institutions.
QuoteBoard is utilized to provide clear aggregated insight of indications of interest (IOI) across the equity derivative markets on an easy to use whiteboard for brokers to quickly track and modify orders. This in turn helps both lead to heightened accuracy and enabling traders to identify opportunities in a more informed manner.
QuoteBoard also provides an auditable infrastructure, to help brokers and traders comply with rising regulatory oversight in today's markets. It will be the sales executives role of growing and maintaining the usage of the platform. ICE Chat is a global communication offering diverse set up options that can be tailored to support compliance requirements.
ICE Chat allows market participants to trade opportunities in real time with features including quote and trade recognition logic, blast messages and a marketplace directory connecting you to over 120,000 market participants. As a sales executive you will be responsible for growing the network and selling add on solutions.

It is quota bearing and encompasses a variety of business development activities aimed at increasing the breadth of clientele in this business area.

The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, be determined and methodical in their approach and have the capacity to thrive as a role-player in a dynamic, team environment.

The primary function is new business development, which includes both prospecting for new leads, as well as qualifying and managing incoming leads from elsewhere within the ICE Fixed Income & Data Services Sales and Marketing Organization. In aid of this, Sales Executive actively engage with clients to understand their requirements and challenges, articulate how both Quoteboard and ICE Chat serve client needs, and work hand in hand with relevant internal teams to advance all aspects of the sales cycle, from prospecting to contract.

Responsibilities
  • Generate new business by identifying and prospecting new logos, as well as upselling and cross selling into existing clients across the ICE network
  • Protect existing revenue by actively engaging with existing clients, which includes on-site visits, training, feeding through feedback to support and product management.
  • Perform warm calls to existing clients as well as cold calls to prospects
  • Conduct outreach, both remote and on-site, to promote the value proposition of ICE products and services
  • Position and demonstrate both QuoteBoard and ICE Chat and add on services with the overall objective to grow revenue and ensure ICE maintains a dominant position in their respective markets
  • Develop and nurture a network of client relationships
  • Garner a deep understanding of organizational groups and business priorities of assigned accounts
  • Collaborate with sales, relationship management and inside sales to identify opportunities and deliver value-added solutions to enhance our clients' business
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the ICE exchange teams
  • Develop internal relationships across the wider ICE network, including cross-selling opportunities
  • Maintain clear records of activity including CRM, Call reports, Service Requests and Monthly Activity Reports
  • Will need to travel across the region on a regular basis
Knowledge and Experience
  • Degree educated or equivalent experience;
  • Significant sales experience with a focus on financial markets (specifically market data and/or desktop);
  • Strong industry knowledge of Equities derivatives and options; Overall financial markets
  • Previous experience in working with communications platforms and associated APIs
  • Strong presentation skills;
  • Competency in consultative sales including solution selling;
  • History of selling through customer centric mindset;
  • Competent CRM-Salesforce skills;
  • Proficient in pipeline management and forecasting;
  • Solid negotiation skills and track record of high close ratio;
  • Previous experience working within a data/software vendor

Schedule

This role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.
