As a Senior Enterprise Service Manager (ESM) with AWS Professional Services team, you will build and consolidate the commercial relationship with large global organizations in the Power & Utilities Industry. You will collaborate with customer account teams and AWS partners to identify, develop, and execute customer consulting engagements.

As a Trusted Advisor for our largest and most committed customers, you will support business development and build strong relationships, oversee the delivery and manage programs for a portfolio of projects in those accounts.

Key job responsibilities

We are seeking outcome driven and customer obsessed experts who are passionate about:

  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with C-level executives, technical stakeholders, and line-of-business users in P&U accounts to understand their business challenges and identify opportunities for cloud adoption
  • Building and leading virtually a team of FSI (Financial Services Industry) specialists across EMEA countries to drive adoption of cloud solutions in the financial services sector
  • Developing and executing go-to-market strategies to sell industry-specific cloud solutions to P&U customers
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including product management, engineering, and marketing teams, to develop and deliver compelling value propositions and solutions tailored to the unique needs of P&U customers
  • Driving revenue growth and market share in the P&U segment by leveraging the team's expertise and industry knowledge to create and close new business opportunities
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the P&U team, fostering a culture of innovation, customer-centricity, and continuous learning

About the team

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success.
AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.* A bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of relevant or professional or military work experience
  • 10+ years of experience working in industry, or consulting to the industry as a partner/director within a Professional Services organization.
  • 5+ years of experience working within the Power & Utilities industry ecosystem including trends, value drivers, and other factors forcing accelerated transformation of the industry at-scale.
  • Demonstrated ability in selling and delivering professional services.
  • 10+ years of experience leading IT operations, cloud computing, IT strategy, business architecture, or enterprise architecture.* Industry thought leadership on digital end-to-end enterprise transformation in Power & Utilities industry.
  • Experience with partner/vendor organizations, associations, trade groups.
  • Enterprise Architecture experience or tangible experience with data center operations and public cloud providers.
  • Experience in an IT strategy & enterprise architecture role that is focused on public cloud or experience leading a cloud migration initiative as an AWS customer or consulting with a customer in their own IT transformation.
  • Experience creating and executing organizational change management strategies as part of a larger transformation.
  • Experience selling and delivering billable professional services.
