Teaching Personnel Dorset is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a secondary school in Poole from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled educator to inspire students and foster a love for literature, language, and critical thinking in a supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4
- Inspire and challenge students to develop strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with national curriculum guidelines
- Differentiate lesson plans to support students of varied abilities
- Establish a positive and structured classroom environment to support learning
- Contribute to the school community through extracurricular activities and collaborative teaching
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching English at secondary level
- A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- A commitment to student progress and academic success
- An enhanced DBS check registered with the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
