Job overview

Outwood Academy Haydock is an 11-16 academy, based in the former mining village of Haydock, within the large Merseyside town of St Helens, and is yet to be inspected by Ofsted. Part of the Outwood Family since 2022, we are a welcoming and supportive academy, with a relentless determination to provide the very best education for every child.

We place students at the centre of everything we do, with a focus on creating a culture of success and a positive climate for learning.

At Outwood Academy Haydock we are proud of our curriculum, which is designed to stretch and enrich our students’ experience coupled with our relentless focus on learning ensures everyone has the right to learn. We believe that learning should be both enjoyable and enriching.

With a holistic view of education, we aim to create a safe and secure learning community that encourages healthy and sustainable lifestyles and empowers students to pursue career pathways they will find stimulating and deeply rewarding.

We are seeking a highly motivated professional individual to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the running and administration of internal and external examinations and maintaining accurate student records. This role will necessitate accuracy, attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
The person appointed will have excellent communication skills, good time management, an ability to multitask and be able to work to tight deadlines. Experience of working within a school environment and experience of using SIMS would be a definite advantage but is not essential as training will be provided on all aspects of the role.

More importantly, candidates need to be proficient in the use of spreadsheets.

The person appointed will report directly to the Senior Leadership Team and will work closely with the Exams Invigilator team in the academy. The successful candidate will be expected to work in August when examination results are published.

The academy benefits from being part of the Outwood Family of Schools, and we intend that every member of staff receives CPD appropriate to the role.
All academies within the Outwood Family have gained the IQM Inclusive Schools Award with 18 having Centre of Excellence status, (including Haydock!) and one holding Flagship status.
As we continue to improve and progress, help to take us to the next level.

If you share our vision, join our family.
