What are we looking for?

Memorial Houston medical is seeking to hire an enthusiastic, passionate and collaborative health care support worker band 2/3 depending on experience. Offering a competitive salary that will be determined based on experience and qualifications.

This position requires availability from Monday to Sunday, covering days, nights, and weekends, with the following shift patterns: inclusion of long day shifts of 12 hours and night shifts, with potential options for shorter shifts based on service requirements.

The Memorial Houston medical health care assistant will contribute to the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care by undertaking delegated clinical duties, supporting patients, and working collaboratively with all clinical teams.

Deliver safe, high-quality clinical and personal care by undertaking delegated tasks in line with training, competency, and trust policies.

What will your duties include?
  • Accurately monitor, record, and report patient observations, promptly escalating any concerns to the registered nurse or appropriate team member.

-Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and colleagues to support patient-centred care and ensure clear information sharing.

-Support a safe, clean, and well-organized clinical environment by adhering to infection control measures and assisting with stock management and equipment checks.
  • Actively participate in ongoing learning and development, attending training sessions, supervision, and competency assessments to maintain and enhance practice.
  • Relevant experience as a healthcare support worker/assistant.
  • Demonstrated ability in recording and escalating observations.
  • Delivers direct care and support to patients adhering to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Prioritises safe, effective and professional care.
What we need from you?
  • Candidates must have completed the Care certificate.
  • Current experience in a hospital setting desirable private hospital.
  • Candidates must be open to self-directed learning and committed to maintaining their knowledge.
