This role is about:

As a licensed financial company with principal membership with card schemes, we specialize in global payments and providing businesses with multi-currency accounts. With offices located in Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Limassol, and London, we are currently undergoing significant expansion and are looking for a passionate and skilled individual to join our team.

Today we are seeking a Financial Officer for our UK entity. In this role, you will be a key part of our financial operations, handling treasury, merchant settlements, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. You will have the opportunity to directly impact our success by ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of our financial processes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

You will:

  • Treasury: Participate in the safeguarding process of client funds, including daily funds monitoring and client account reconciliations.
  • Merchant Settlement: Participate in the merchant settlement process, as well as the transfers of funds between the firm’s client and office accounts ensuring its proper and timely execution.
  • Financial Operations: Handle accounting and reporting requirements of the UK entity. Also, maintain accounting books and records, and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.
  • Tax: Assist in the quarterly preparation of VAT returns.
  • Financial Reporting: Participate in the preparation of UK financial reports, including monthly/quarterly/year-end management accounts within strict monthly deadlines.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist in the statutory and regulatory UK reporting requirements (FCA, Tax, statutory audit etc.) and ensure compliance with the regulatory provisions.
  • Ad-hoc Support: Undertake other ad-hoc tasks and projects as requested by the CFO/FC for group purposes.

What we need:

  • 2+ years of experience in an accounts/finance assistant/treasury role within a multi-currency environment (preferably in Payment Service Institutions or EMI firms).
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Actively pursuing or working towards a recognized professional accounting qualification.
  • A supportive and reliable team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong adaptability and a willingness to take on new challenges, read, learn, and stay current with industry trends and regulations.
  • Strong organizational and task management skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot numerical or other errors.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyze and present financial data effectively.
  • Resilience and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high accuracy.
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures in compliance with FCA regulations.

This role will be based in our office in Holborn, with a possibility to work Hybrid.
