We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the South Glos Recovery South Team. The days required to work will need to meet the needs of the service. This role is a full time post.

The Recovery Team is a very busy team who also support the Medical Lead for the South Glos locality. The post holder will have telephone contact with Service Users and play an important role in helping the service run efficiently. This role can be very varied at times and you will be expected to cover other team member’s workloads during any periods of absences.

Candidates should demonstrate comprehensive secretarial skills, good communication and organisational skills and the ability to work alone using own initiative as well as working within a team.

Computer Literacy Skills: current in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) is essential.

Qualifications Desirable: RSA typing/Word processing Stage II or equivalent.

Main duties of the job

First point of contact for telephone calls to the Recovery South team in South Glos locality. You will be monitoring community targets (KPIs), using Rio patient systems and working closely with Clinicians and other administrators. Supporting the team manager as required, note taking at meetings, using email and other NHS systems.

Occasional cover of other departments required.

This position is based at Kingswood Civic Centre.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Education and Qualification: NVQ 3 in Business Administration or similar relevant qualification

or

Equivalent competence acquired by experience and willingness to undertake NVQ 3 Business Administration qualification under the Trust Apprenticeship Scheme.

Experience and Knowledge: Experience of working within a team.

Able to organise and maintain a busy office/admin team.
Experience of administrative systems and office procedures.
Experience of administration in a clinical setting.
Experience in activities such as answering queries, progress chasing, task-related problem solving, acquired through experience and training to Vocational Level 3 or equivalent.

Experience of supporting senior staff such as Medical Consultants.

Skills and Abilities: Good IT Skills – competent in Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Dexterity co-ordination for keyboard skills or equivalent.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to take and convey clear messages.
Ability to work under some pressure.
Ability to work without direct supervision.
Plan and prioritise own workload.
