Graduate Sports Assistants
ACS International Schools is currently seeking two Sports Graduate Assistants to join our team at our Cobham Campus from August 2025.
The purpose of this role is to provide support across the Sport & PE Department, including delivery of coaching sessions and the fixtures programme.
Accommodation and full board is included on-site in our boarding house in Cobham, as part of this position.

Responsibilities:
- Coaching/assistant coach of sports teams every season (fall, winter and spring)
- Substitute cover for PE lessons
- Assistant teacher in PE lessons
- Issuing and managing sports team uniforms and keeping an inventory
- Collecting EpiPen and medical equipment from divisional offices for away sports fixtures
- Providing travel lists and first aid kits to coaches for away games
- Chaperone where required for away sports fixtures and European Tournaments
- Sports Department administration duties (Schoology and emailing parents)
- Supporting the Sports Department in the hosting of tournaments
- Maintaining sports equipment in good order.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- Active participant in sport/fitness activities
- PE/Sports graduate with a keen interest and passion for a variety of sports
- Qualified to coach at least one of our Tier 1 sports is an advantage
- Experience of coaching young people
- First Aid trained or willing to undertake training
- Excellent speaking and listening skills
- Clear and accurate written communication skills
- IT literate
- Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with a range of people fairly and with respect
- The ability to work effectively in a team
- Good planning and organisational skills with the proven ability to use their own initiative
- A flexible attitude and an adaptable, self-motivated approach
- An understanding of the importance of developing appropriate working relationships with young people, with the ability to define boundaries
- Hard working and reliable.
This is a one year fixed term contract of 31 hours per week, plus Resident Tutor responsibilities. There is a possibility of extending the contract to two years for applicants who have excelled in their first year and are wishing to pursue the possibility of a PGCE/teaching career.
