Position Summary:
Lifescan Quality Apprenticeship Programme 2025- Four-year rotational programme based in Inverness, Scotland, while studying for a Graduate Apprenticeship degree, along with other Quality-related qualifications
- Starting 1^st year salary of £18,000, rising to £24,100, £24,500 and £25,000 in subsequent years

What is Quality?
Quality is meeting predefined standards and requirements. It ensures products are safe, reliable and exceed customer expectations to maintain brand integrity and meet the business objectives.
At Lifescan, working in Quality means focusing on ensuring that the organisation is compliant with Medical Device Regulations, but also driving improvement to products, processes or services. A quality professional uses techniques and tools to ensure that an organisation consistently meets or exceeds customer and stakeholder needs.
Quality professionals work in a variety of functions (laboratories, systems, engineering, inspection, software etc.) and this is why the programme provides invaluable experience as apprentices rotate across departments.

As well as on the job training and personal development, this 4-year apprentice-training programme will result in the attainment of the following qualifications:
- BA(Hons) Business Management (Graduate Apprenticeship)
- SVQ Level 2 in Business Improvement Techniques
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
You'll receive coaching and mentoring, opportunities to work in a variety of departments tailored to your future, on a variety of projects, while picking up business, personal, and technical skills you can use now and throughout your career.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
What are we offering for 2025?
We are looking for two Quality Apprentices for our 2025 programme.
You’ll obtain your qualifications through UHI Inverness, which is based at Inverness Campus. The successful candidates will be enrolled in August 2025, and the programme will commence in early September 2025.
The BA (Hons) Graduate Apprenticeship is SAAS funded and is available for candidates regardless of previous higher-level study. For Graduate Apprenticeships, there is no upper income limit for SAAS funding.
Successful candidates will be required to apply directly to SAAS.

What qualifications do we need?
We’re looking for applications from candidates who have either attained, or are expected to attain, the following:
Minimum of 3 SQA Highers at grade C or above, one to be a STEM subject, and one to be English or another humanities subject.
Or
Minimum of 2 A-Levels at grade C or above, one to be a STEM subject, and one to be English or another humanities subject.
You'll also be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis.
