The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to design and deliver the Corporate Communications and Stakeholder Strategy to strengthen this Organisation’s brand, reach and influence. You will be joining an organisation who have transitioned to being a part of the NHS, and have defined a bold 10-year vision that requires them, through communications, to position the organisation as a part of the NHS system.

Although your audiences include clinical, c-suite, procurement and finance professionals within the NHS, it isn’t essential that you have worked within the NHS previously, so applications are welcome from all sectors.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract to cover an internal secondment and will be based from Nottingham with hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities

The Corporate Communications & Stakeholder Lead will strategically lead, and be accountable for, the external communications function, providing professional advice, expertise, and leadership on all aspects of external media and stakeholder communications to the Executive Team and senior leaders.

This will include social media to raise brand awareness across all channels. The role holder will be required to build and maintain strong relationships with a broad range of media, NHS England, and other relevant audiences. They will also lead on all crisis communications and will help position the business as thought leaders both within and outside of the healthcare arena.

You will develop the stakeholder strategy and create stakeholder engagement plans across the organisation. It will be important to ensure that the value proposition is understood, and key business narrative and focus messages are tailored to resonate with all stakeholder audiences and are equally understood internally.

The events team will also form part of your portfolio, where you will support in the management of the logistics of an event and show a return on investment of all events attended.

About You

This opportunity would suit candidates with experience in designing and delivering a Corporate Communications strategy within a complex organisation and designing and delivering a Stakeholder strategy for a complex and changing landscape.

You will have a proven track record creating, delivering and measuring high profile social media and media campaigns and developing strong brand presence. You will have a track record of setting clear KPIs and showing a ROI.

Experience of influencing at a senior level and managing a diverse and transforming team will be important alongside creativity, positivity and ability to converse at all levels.
