Day-to-day of the role:
As an Autism Specialist Supply Teaching Assistant, you will:- Support the delivery of educational programs tailored to children with autism.
- Assist in creating an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers to implement effective teaching strategies that cater to individual student needs.
- Participate in the development and execution of individual education plans.
- Help manage classroom activities and ensure a safe and dynamic educational setting.
- Engage with students to foster their academic and social development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with SEN children in a similar role or a role with transferable skills.
- A confident, proactive approach, with a desire to go above and beyond in supporting children with special needs.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a DBS certificate on the update service.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, students, and parents.
- A commitment to personal and professional development within the field of special education.
