Day-to-day of the role:

As an Autism Specialist Supply Teaching Assistant, you will:
  • Support the delivery of educational programs tailored to children with autism.
  • Assist in creating an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Work closely with teachers to implement effective teaching strategies that cater to individual student needs.
  • Participate in the development and execution of individual education plans.
  • Help manage classroom activities and ensure a safe and dynamic educational setting.
  • Engage with students to foster their academic and social development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working with SEN children in a similar role or a role with transferable skills.
  • A confident, proactive approach, with a desire to go above and beyond in supporting children with special needs.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain a DBS certificate on the update service.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, students, and parents.
  • A commitment to personal and professional development within the field of special education.
