SEN Teaching Assistant – Dartington, Devon

A highly reputable Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) school group is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their permanent team at their Dartington site. The position is available from January 2025 or sooner.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting young people with complex needs, fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing atmosphere.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEMH needs
  • Understanding of various SEN, including autism, ADHD, and emotional difficulties
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Patience, empathy, and a calm approach in challenging situations
  • A proactive attitude with a commitment to professional development
  • Relevant qualifications in education or SEN (preferred but not essential)
