Cambridgeshire County Council is looking for a Finance Assistant to join the Childrens Commissioning Finance Team.This position will be Fixed Term until 30 September 2025. This is a hybrid role, so you will be based mostly at home, but will need to be able to travel to our offices on Alconbury Weald, Huntingdon as required. What will you be doing? You will provide effective and accurate payment of c£39 million of Childrens Commissioning transactions,ensuring that Providers are accurately paid and agencies invoiced. You will assist with the monitoring of budgets inaccordance with Council financial processes, systems and instructions and complete regular integrity checks to ensurethat all payments made are correct.

About you You will be a highly motivated, proactive, organised and innovative finance professional with a proven track record ofdelivery. You will have a proven background infinance work, having worked with finance systems and maintainedaccurate financial records.
You willhave previous knowledge ofpayment systems, particularlyERP and CONTROCC. Good IT skills, especially inMicrosoft Excel are essential, as is good interpersonal and customer care skills and the ability to proactively lead,manageandresolve provider queries regarding payments.
You will also possess the ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues, other teams, and partners.
