The firm's London Debt Capital Markets, Structured Finance, and Derivatives team is an integral part of a broader finance practice of over 100 lawyers and boasts an international outlook, frequently collaborating with colleagues and clients across Europe and beyond.Their reputation for delivering high-quality work and maintaining a client-centric approach is second to none, so they're looking for a like-minded associate to join their thriving practice.
As a member of this collaborative and entrepreneurial team, you'll work on an exciting array of complex matters, including securitised derivatives, structured products, repackagings, OTC derivatives, repos, stock lending, strategic equity financings, and debt capital markets transactions.This position is tailor-made for a proactive and innovative lawyer who thrives on variety and intellectual challenge.
The team is entrepreneurial and flexible. They are looking for a bright, proactive derivatives, structured finance, and/or debt capital markets lawyer with 2-5 years of PQE who is keen to learn. While prior experience in these specific areas is advantageous, the team values adaptability, and the ability to apply existing skills to new areas.
Key attributes include:
- Strong drafting and negotiating experience across capital markets, derivatives, and structured finance documentation;
- A client-focused mindset with the ability to build and nurture relationships;
- Outstanding drafting skills, coupled with the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical advice;
- Exceptional judgment, interpersonal, and consultancy skills; and
- Enthusiasm for a wide-ranging caseload and the drive to excel in a fast-paced environment.
