Facilities & Production Support Technician

What you'll bring to the team:

This role is a 6 month FTC.

Do you want to work where the magic happens? We are looking for a highly skilled Facilities & Production Support Technician to join our creative production teams based at Merlin Magic Making. The successful candidate will be the lead in general building and tool maintenance and will also support the production teams with ad hoc maintenance, facilities and project tasks within their departments.

In this role the successful candidate will uphold the highest Health and Safety standards, always wearing the correct PPE for the task and will constantly champion our H&S policies. They will be responsible for conducting regular inspections to meet all standards, and be the first line respond to any emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption.

Duties will involve maintaining production areas to the highest standards of cleanliness, handling goods in and out, informing relevant departments of new stock, and supporting production with tasks unique to the work at Merlin Magic Making.

This job also requires someone who can demonstrate versatility by covering reception duties if and when required and be a support to the onsite Project Manager with project related maintenance tasks.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience in facilities & building maintenance
• Strong understanding of H&S regulations
• Knowledge and competent use of power tool and machinery
• Understanding of Microsoft packages
• Excellent problem-solving skills, takes initiative and has a can-do attitude
• Excellent communication to foster relationships across diverse departments
• Fire Warden and First Aid training is desirable
• Willingness to train and gain additional job specific skills
