Physics Teacher
Step Teachers are seeking an experienced Physics Teacher located in Torquay commencing in September 2025. This full-time position is for 25 days initially, with potential extension based on performance and school discretion.

Your duties as a Physics Teacher:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated physics lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Provide engaging and interactive practical experiments to reinforce key concepts.
- Assess and track student progress, offering feedback and guidance to ensure academic growth.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated and confident.
- Prepare students for exams by helping them understand key concepts and develop exam skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the science department to develop and enhance the curriculum.
- Maintain a safe and well-equipped laboratory environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding student progress and achievements.
To be considered for this Physics Teacher position, you will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Physics or a related field.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the physics curriculum and assessment criteria.
- Experience teaching physics at the secondary school level (preferred, but not essential).
- Passion for science and education, with the ability to inspire students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as a Physics Teacher.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
