Senior Programme Manager | NHS England
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 12-month secondment for a senior programme manager to support Dental Public Health within the Public Health Directorate at NHS Midlands. The role will include a mixed programme manager portfolio, including leading the dental epidemiology programme and the planning, co-ordination and delivery of complex strategies, activities and projects aimed at improving oral health and reducing inequalities
Within this role you will:
- Deliver significant programme or projects for NHSE targetedatimprovementsinhealthoutcomesforthepublic.
- Managethewholelifecycleofaprogrammeof systemchange,ensuring excellent governance throughout.
- Managethesetupanddeliveryofmultipleprojects withinaprogrammeof work, working with colleagues and subject matter experts to scope, plan, design and deliver those projects.
- Reviewprojectreportsandrisklogsforprojects,advisingindividual project managersonescalationprocessandsupporting deliveryofprojectswhere there may be significant barriers to delivery.
- Manage the whole lifecycle of a programme of work containing multiple projects,reportingonprogressandmanagingrisksandissues,escalating where necessary to the programme/ board.
- Interrogate and analyse, sometimes highly complex, information and data to support the delivery of clear project reporting and project outcomes.
- Take the local lead in the implementation of agreed dental epidemiology surveys and other programmes, with reviews of the procedures and progress including provision of advice and assistance, as needed.
- Support the Lead Dental Public Health consultant in delivering their corporate responsibilities e.g. quarterly reporting.
- Work with a range of stakeholders across the East Midlands including NHS England, ICBs, local authorities and clinical leaders and dental teams.
- Enabling local systems and providers to improve the health of their people and patients and reduce health inequalities.

The post holder will be a member of the Directorate of Healthcare Public Health in NHSE Midlands and will support the two Consultants in Dental Public Health in the East Midlands with the provision of public health advice/support to a range of healthcare functions and leading the development and delivery of public health programmes in the region.
