An exciting career opportunity has arisen with Chelmsford City Council as we look to appoint an Operations Manager within Public Health and Protection Services. We are looking for a professionally qualified and skilled manager who is competent and knowledgeable in the areas of community safety (including emergency planning), community protection, and environmental protection/pollution control.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the overall management of these teams, provide motivation to staff and contribute to the management and development of the Service.
The successful applicant will be self-motivated and decisive, possessing excellent communication and organisational skills. The Operations Manager will be responsible for allocation of work streams within the Service, managing budgets, overseeing performance monitoring and developing policies and procedures as well as advising service managers, Members and partners on key issues affecting the Service.
