Our Trust:

Our Trust is geographically dispersed, comprising six academies; Kings Priory School in Tynemouth, Polam Hall School in Darlington, St Peter’s Academy in Stoke on Trent, St Augustine Academy in Maidstone, and Sir Robert Woodard Academy and the Littlehampton Academy both in West Sussex.

The Trust educates over six and a half thousand young people from ages four to eighteen.

The Role:

This is a great opportunity to join the Trust, you will play a pivotal role in the future of Woodard Academies Trust (WAT) as we move into the next part of our journey. The post is 37 hours per week and is permanent.

The successful candidate will report to the Chief Operating Officer. You will support the leadership team in aligning people plans and initiatives with the strategic direction of the Trust. You will be required to travel to any academy within the trust and the expectation is that you will be based at head office in London for three days per week with the other two days working flexibly from home.

You will manage and lead the Trust People Team covering human resources, payroll and pension functions.

You will shape and develop a clear people strategy that aligns with the Trust’s strategic goal and will drive the operational HR agenda.

The nature of the work requires close and productive relationships with colleagues within Finance and Human Resources and across the Multi-Academy Trust generally, and with people in external organisations: consequently, good communication and team-working skills are vital.
