Finance Executive

Your new company is a lovely not for profit based in Sheffield. They are seeking to recruit a finance executive as a key part of their team, working directly with the head of finance and overseeing a great finance apprentice.
Your new role
The Finance Executive role involves ensuring accurate processing and reconciliation of all income, including cash, cheques, and online donations, into the fundraising CRM and accounts package. This includes coding donations correctly, supporting timely banking of funds, and coordinating gift aid submissions.The role also involves raising and managing invoices, chasing outstanding debts, and handling legacy income. For expenditure, the Finance Executive ensures purchase invoices and credit card expenses are processed accurately, assists with expense queries, prepares payment runs, and reconciles creditor accounts.
They also manage bank reconciliations, handle non-income and non-creditor payments, and support investment management. Additionally, the role supports the production of month-end and year-end accounts, manages accruals and prepayments, and updates grant expenditure.
The Finance Executive also reviews budget lines, supports fundraising events, and handles ad hoc tasks as needed.
What you'll need to succeed- AAT qualified
- Experience in an equivalent finance position, ideally overseeing a small team
- Taking accounts to trail balance
