Your new school:

This South Gloucestershire primary school is looking for a hard-working, specialist Teaching Assistant to work in KS2 in a mixed class as soon as possible. This role in this GL12 school will be extremely hands-on and active, working in a 1.1 situation with 2 children with very similar needs.

You will be working both within and outside the classroom, assisting the classroom teacher by being these two children’s 1.1.

Your new role:

Your role as a SEND specialist Teaching Assistant in this GL12 school will require you to have had experience in this sector of education as you will have to hit the ground running, you will need to have good behaviour management skills and take these children outside the classroom for interventions; alongside assisting with their work for the day and their academic process.

You will also be conducting sessions with children based on their specific SEND requirements. You will need to be strong-willed to take on this role, starting as soon as possible in GL12.

Requirements to succeed in your new role:

  • Teaching Assistant experience within the last two years
  • Two working references from your most recent jobs that apply relevance to the position
  • Previous experience with
SEND children and behavioural management.
  • A DBS on the update service. This can be done through Hays.
