Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic Specialist Public Health Practitioner, School Nurse to join our Integrated Healthy Families Team within the Mansfield Locality. This will be delivered in line with the National and Local guidelines and public health priorities.
You will work as part of a team to deliver universal and targeted health services to the 0-19 year population and will be responsible for the day to day management of a defined caseload, supporting a skill mix team.
You will be expected to develop excellent partnership working relationships in order to provide seamless services to Children, Young people and their families. This dynamic role will provide leadership across Universal Children’s Services within Health Visiting and School Nursing and support organisational changes.

This post requires an experienced practitioner with sound communication skills to develop their leadership and management skills. Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The role involves delivering the public health agenda for 0-19 children and families. Delivering the Healthy Child Programme to a defined population and a strong element of leadership to the skill mix within the 0-19 Healthy Family Team
A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
