Responsibilities:

As the Director – Investor Services with Hines, you will be part of the global Investor Services team, within the Hines Investment Management platform. You will provide support to the Institutional Investor Solutions (IIS) business and will support Hines’ capital raising efforts within the pre-commitment stage of investor engagement. You will manage internal stakeholders’ needs in order to effectively market the firm’s products and platform. This position will report to the Director, Investor Services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and mentor a team of approximately 2 individuals focused on primarily open-end funds and products marketed by the IIS team; provide guidance, support, and development opportunities to your team.
  • Collaborate closely with the IIS and Fund Management teams in order to support capital raising efforts across the Hines’ Europe and MENA organizational regions, including a thorough understanding of the products being marketed, as well as understanding the needs of the prospective institutional investors, whom we are marketing to.
  • Coordinate the pre-commitment lifecycle of the capital raising processes, including the oversight and delegation of responsibilities across the team, such as:
  • Completion of due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), requests for information (RFIs), and inquiries from prospective investors and consultants;
  • Coordination of onsite diligence meetings with prospective investors and consultants;
  • Creation, updating and maintenance of product marketing materials, in the form of teasers, pitch books, one-pagers, case studies, and more;
  • Foster an environment of learning amongst your team, utilizing internal training materials and guidance from assigned mentors;
  • Ensure team members contribute to overall market research needs performed by the global Investor Services team;
  • Provide project management support for new product launches and maintain fund data rooms;
  • Create and curate content, tools, and resources to empower the IIS team throughout the capital raising cycle.
  • In addition to the close collaboration with IIS and Fund Management, closely partner with Compliance, Data & Analytics, Investor Marketing, Investor Relations, Legal, Portfolio Management & Finance and other teams across the Hines organization.
  • Embrace the use of technology, tools, and processes in order to co-create best practices for the team, while remaining nimble and efficient in our support of global capital raising efforts.
  • Demonstrate superior project management skills, liaising with individuals across the organization and adhering to deadlines, frequently managing multiple projects at one-time, all in support of global capital raising endeavors.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and incorporate relevant insights into strategies and initiatives.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required, MBA preferred.
  • Six or more years of prior investor services, sales enablement, due diligence, or related experience
  • Financial services and/or real estate experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, can-do, problem solver attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently in a deadline-drive environment
  • Strong collaboration skills, evidenced by a team player mindset
  • Evidence of high attention to detail
  • Adept at managing people, fostering an environment conducive to learning and growth
  • Experience with CRM systems and content management software
  • Willingness to quickly learn new software/technology platforms
