Administrative Assistant and Receptionist
Provide general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to the patients and other visitors in person, via the telephone/email.
Be able to work the hours of 8am- 6:30pm Monday
- Friday, completing contracted weekly hours and be flexible to cover annual leave or sickness.
To work in accordance with written protocols Pulling/filing notes and update as necessary Opening post and/or filing in medical records Photocopying Process change of address requests, informing patients when necessary to register with a new practice Scanning using DOCMAN software and action tasks Referrals using GATEWAY software and action tasks Completing spreadsheets Typing from dictation EMIS Tasks Telephoning other healthcare professionals Reception Receiving patients consulting with members of Practice team Handing completed repeat prescriptions to patient and checking names and address.
EPS Prescriptions- Repeats/Acute Be able to cover all reception positions as necessary Computer Literate via EMIS Web Clinical System deal with tasks/appointments setup/alerts/patients medical records/QOF related work.
Appointments Process appointment requests for today and future appointments from patients by telephone and in person.
Deal with visits requests Same Day Access Computer Registration of new patients enter data from registration form onto computer Process repeat prescription request in accordance with Practice guidelines.Process and complete patient notes/tasks.
Telephone Have working knowledge of telephone system Know how to transfer calls Other Tasks Clear rooms after surgeries Ensure building security have thorough knowledge of doors/windows/shutters.
Make tea/coffee for doctors Any other tasks allocated by practice manager Confidentiality: In the course of seeking treatment, patients entrust us with, or allow us to gather, sensitive information in relation to their health and other matters.
