Lead Financial Trading Analyst - Qualified Accountant 12 Months FTC

Hays Accountancy and Finance are representing a top 100 organisation for the immediate appointment of a qualified accountant for the role of Lead Financial Trade Analyst.This position is a 12 month Contract, paying 46-48K with a 10% bonus on completion.
Your new role
To provide support to the Finance and Trading departments in all areas of margin, supplier income and profitability reporting. To complete weekly, periodic and quarterly reporting requirements and be a key player in the quarter-end hard close, forecastingTo develop, motivate and mentor the team appropriately
Manage the production and preparation of weekly reports to strict timelines (including sales & margin analysis and supplier income)Assist the Financial Trading Analysts in the preparation of periodic management accounts to strict timelinesSupport the budget and forecast process with a key focus on managing all aspects of gross profit, within the timeframes laid out in the forecast and budget timetablesBusiness Partner with the Trading teams and assist in driving continuous margin improvement including supplier negotiations, streamline reports and margin variance analysisManagement of direct reports including PDR process and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

What you'll need to succeed
Fully Qualified accountant. At least 2 years’ experience as a Financial Analyst, Management Accountant or similar role, gained in a fast-paced commercial environment.Previous experience of margin reporting and variance analysis. Previous experience of budget/forecast preparation
