Salary:£56,715 – £59,700 based on experience

Location: We have hybrid working in place, with 1-2 days per week, in our office in Canary Wharf.

What exactly will you be doing?

As the Registration and Assurance Manager, you will oversee the registration and ongoing supervision of licensed members and firms. With your expertise and leadership skills, you will support the development and maintenance of an effective assurance framework and foster a culture of high performance in the team.

Major objectives

To maintain AAT’s registration, assurance and supervision framework, and to lead and manage the team to ensure that AAT membership meet the professional standards, ethics and money laundering regulations.

Professional standards, ethics and regulation

Provide expert advice and analysis on registration, assurance and supervision issues to key stakeholders across the organisation to inform the development of policies and processes as well as AAT member support and guidance.

Investigation and disciplinary framework:

Oversee the management of the team’s workload, providing expert technical guidance and direction, ensuring quality results are delivered against set objectives/KPIs.

Team leadership

Provide management and leadership skills to nurture and develop the team to become high performers.

What are we looking for?

Awareness of self-regulatory / professional body working
Knowledge of UK anti-money laundering legislation

Knowledge of professional standards and ethics within bookkeeping and accounting profession.

Ability to communicate with and influence key senior stakeholders
Ability to communicate complex information to non-technical audiences, with appropriate reporting methods.

Strong critical thinking, analytical, quantitative and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a strategic mindset

Sound judgement on complex regulatory issues and implications

Experience in compliance, assurance or audit roles, ideally within a professional body, membership organisation or similar sector is essential
