Job Title: SEN Tutor
Job Duties:
- Provide one-on-one support and tailored teaching to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Create individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles
- Assist students in developing academic, social, and life skills
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the students' education
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching or tutoring students with SEN
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of the UK education system and SEN regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with SEN
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Training in specific interventions for SEN students
Working Conditions:
- Part-Time hours, flexible schedule
- Work primarily in a school setting or student's home
- May require travel within Oxfordshire
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
