The Company

My client is a business based in Sunderland looking for a Financial Accountant to join the team and specialise in the financial accounting month end process for the division. This FTSE250 business is in a position which will see the successful applicant encouraged to progress quickly and take on more responsibilities.

The Role

This role will see the post holder contribute to the production of the financial reporting for the business. This role will also involve the successful candidate producing MI analysis for use by the board of directors. You will have ownership of the IFRS process and be a big part of the team the prepare the statutory accounts and external reporting.

In order to be considered for this role you must:

• Be ideally ACA Qualified although ACCA or CIMA will be considered
• Have VAT and TAX experience
• Have proven experience of producing the monthly management accounts and financial accounting
• Have a strong commercial awareness and an interest to develop this further
• Have good IT skills including Excel
• Be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate financial information to non finance management
