Public Health Programme Officer

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is looking for 2 Public Health Programme Officers (one 1 year fixed term and one permanent) to work within their multidisciplinary team supporting programme development, project co-ordination, service improvement, commissioning and contract managing.This is an opportunity for highly motivated individuals wanting to develop their knowledge and practical experience of improving health and wellbeing and reducing inequalities for the people of RBWM.
Public Health Programme Officer is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working, and a salary of £36,433 to £40,401 per annum.
Public Health Programme Officer (Interim) is a full-time fixed term role for 1 year with hybrid working, and a salary of £36,433 to £40,401 per annum.

This is an excellent opportunity for two enthusiastic Public Health Programme Officers to join our Public Health team.
The Role: You will work, with support from other team members, to carry out the following duties and responsibilities -
Support the Public Health Consultant, Service Leads, Deputy Director of Public Health and Director of Public Health, working with multi-agency partners to develop, commission and contract manage services for Children & Young People and Adults.
Collate data and evidence, using this to provide reports, monitor services and make service recommendations.Support the coordination of programmes and projects to improve health & wellbeing and reduce health inequalities for children and young people and adults.
What we are looking for:We are looking for highly motivated individuals who can support the development, implementation and delivery of a range of exciting public health projects. You will be an excellent communicator. Success in these posts will require you to form close partnerships with both internal and external agencies across a variety of sectors.
You will have a degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (ideally public health or another health-related field).

The team works closely with RBWM Council, the East Berkshire Public Health Teams and Frimley ICS as well as a number of wider partners.

Working arrangements:The team works in a hybrid way combining attendance at the office with working from home. The postholder will need to be able to come into the office in Maidenhead once a week and to be flexible about attending other meetings face to face when appropriate.
