Finance Officer | Sales Ledger | Permanent | Co Antrim

Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a well established business in Co Antrim and are actively recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join their team.

This is a full time, permanent opportunity office based.

The hours of work are 8.30am to 5pm and an early finish of 1.15pm on Friday.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Assistant will assist with the efficient running of the sales ledger function and the banking function within the company.

More specific duties will include:

To ensure all banking transactions are entered onto the finance system daily

To make daily transfers to ensure that sufficient funds are left in the current bank account for daily transactions and that surplus funds are transferred into high interest account

To prepare weekly bank reconciliations

To work with Purchase Ledger to produce the monthly BACs run and any ad hoc payments as required throughout the month

To consider any cash requirements on a regular basis with the Company Accountant

To make any lodgements

To account for cash from car park operations including posting and reconciling of all cash and credit card transactions

To control and replenish petty cash

To act as point of contact with Payment Service Provider/Merchant Bank on credit card payments

To assist with the sales ledger function and provide cover for billing when required

To prepare necessary journals required for month end accounts

To assist the Management Accountants in the entering and checking of all month end journals

The Person:

Applicants will have Maths and English GCSE Garde C or above, or equivalent

Applicants will have sales ledger experience with specific experience in reconciling accounts

Applicants will have experience working with an ERP platform, ideally MS Dynamics 365

Applicants will have excellent communication skills and will be able to work to deadlines
