Fetal Medicine Lead Midwife | Barts Health NHS Trust
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced (band 6 and above) midwife to join the FMU Team.
You will be working closely with the Fetal Medicine midwife/Consultant, Maternal Medicine Midwife and the Screening Team. You will be expected to work alongside FMU with a focus on the Pre-term clinic and twin pregnancy clinic in collaboration with saving babies lives care bundle.
Fetal Medicine is the branch of medicine that provides care for the fetus (or fetuses) and mother and her family. This includes the assessment of fetal growth and well-being and the diagnosis and management of fetal disorders (including fetal abnormalities) and counselling and support for parents.
Specialised services for women cover rare or complex conditions and/or unusual treatments as well as more common conditions where the severity or uncertainty of a particular case and/or co-morbidities necessitates treatment in a specialist Centre.
