The Role

We are seeking an experienced, creative and inspirational professional to join our team as Head of Academic Drama ideally for September 2025 but will consider outstanding applicants for a January 2026. This role is full-time.

About You

As Head of Academic Drama, you will be responsible for planning and overseeing all schemes of work, tracking and analysing student data, and ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across all year groups. You will line manage the LAMDA provision and play a key role in the department’s expansive co-curricular programme, contributing to a vibrant culture of performance and creativity within the school.

The ideal candidate will be a passionate and visionary Head of Academic Drama to lead the delivery and development of Drama across Years 7–13. This is an exciting opportunity to continue to shape the strategic direction of the subject, inspiring pupils through a rich, rigorous, and imaginative curriculum; have a strong track record of teaching Drama at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with experience in curriculum planning, assessment, and leadership.

You will bring energy, organisation, and a collaborative spirit, with a commitment to excellence both in and beyond the classroom.
