Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Trainee/Apprentice Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in our care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, the ability to supervise and support junior staff, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our seniors.As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in implementing care plans and ensuring that each resident receives personalised attention and support.
Duties
Supervise and lead a team of care assistants, ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times.Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Assist in the development and implementation of individualised care plans tailored to the needs of each resident.
Drive engagement activities that promote social interaction and well-being among residents.
Maintain accurate records using IT systems for documentation of care provided and any changes in residents' conditions.
Ensure the care home environment is safe, clean, and welcoming for all residents.
Support residents with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility assistance.
Apprenticeship training
you will complete a Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker or Level 4 Lead Practitioner in Adult Care apprenticeship standard, level is dependant on qualifications and experiencehave regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
learn and train for a specific job
get paid and receive holiday leave
get hands-on experience in a real job
study for at least 20% of your working hours
complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
