We’re on the lookout for a super-organised Communications Officer & Planner to join our team. In this role, you’ll keep our media schedule running like clockwork - making sure the right messages land in the right places, at just the right time.

You’ll be the go-to for managing weekly media requests, fielding responses across teams, and helping us stay sharp and responsive. Working closely with our brilliant Digital & Content team, you’ll help deliver campaigns, smart announcements, and reactive moments that get people talking.

From consumer launches to corporate stories, you’ll support a wide range of media activity across the Virgin family.

Media Planning
  • Build and manage a media schedule.
  • Coordinate upcoming campaigns and key moments with internal teams.
Content & Channels
  • Collaborate with content, design and marketing teams.
  • Distribute materials across digital, social, print, and broadcast channels.
Quality & Timelines
  • Check assets before launch - on brand, on brief, on time.
  • Keep campaign timelines in sync and running smoothly.
Reporting & Insights
  • Track media activity and performance.
  • Compile monthly reports, featuring insights to improve delivery and impact.
Media Relations
  • Build strong relationships with media and influencers.
  • Pitch stories, secure coverage, and run a responsive press office.
  • Spot trends and opportunities in real time.
Storytelling
  • Collaborate on standout stories and releases with our Content team.
  • Help shape content that’s fresh, bold and unmistakably Virgin.
Performance & Impact
  • Set KPIs, track coverage, and report on sentiment and reach.
  • Use results to guide future strategy.

Location: London hub (our team day is Thursday, so we’d love to see you in the office then - but you’re welcome to come in more often if that suits you!) & your home space

Salary:
  • £39,000
  • £47,500 plus bonus
  • We're putting our salaries out there for everyone to see
