About the Financial Services Banking Team

Our clients consist of overseas banks and UK challenger banks. These cover a range of banking activity such as retail banking, commercial banking, private banking (including wealth management), merchant banking, and investment banking. We also work with building societies, leasing, asset backed lending, payment service providers, and security brokers.

About the role

As a graduate trainee here's what will await you during your three-year training contract:

Year 1:

• Master the art of auditing: Learn to prepare meticulous audit documents using the latest software and methodologies, a key part of this is:
• Financial statements: Develop a deep understanding of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows.
• Work side by side with clients: Be immersed into the business world by working directly with a variety of diverse companies. You will need to understand their operations, challenges, and unique circumstances.
• Build relationships: Connect with key stakeholders both with our clients but also internally in your team and across service lines. You will be expected to gather relevant information and build strong professional relationships.

Years 2 and 3:

You're joining us as a permanent employee, so the 3 years is only the beginning of your exceptional career journey here.

• On track or have obtained an undergraduate degree. Strong academic performance is important; however, we understand that things don't always go to plan. Our recruitment process looks at your whole self – academic achievements as well as other experiences in which you have grown and developed.
