Pay Range: Teachers Main/Upper Pay ScaleActual Salary from: £31,650 – £49,084 (M1 – U3)

The Role
We are looking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational Teacher of English.
The position will suit an experienced or early career teacher.
We are a community where everyone feels they belong and are the best they can be. We were inspected by Ofsted in September 2023 and judged “good” in all areas.
Our strong English team works very collaboratively and forms part of our Creative Academy at Sigma Sixth through the offer of A level English literature. There are close links with drama and media across the team.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Be accountable for student progress and development within your classes.
- Be innovative in your own teaching and to develop and enhance the teaching practice of others.
- Plan collaboratively with colleagues in order to promote effective practice and provide a broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum.
- Be a form tutor to promote a sense of belonging amongst our students.

We're looking for you if you have:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Ability to teach inspiring lessons in English
- Ability to implement schemes of work and ensure they are implemented to a high standard
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
