About Us
The Emergency Duty Team is a critical part of our service to children, families and vulnerable adults in Oxfordshire.Our team covers all hours of the week that fall outside of the standard office hours and offers staff a dynamic, fast-paced role responding to those in our communities who require immediate help andsupportduring emergencies out of hours.We are co-located with our police partners at Abingdon Police Station
About the Role
As one of our Assistant Team Managers,you will be responsible for leading the emergency social workresponseon your shift, providing clear advice and proportionate decisions in how werespondto emergencies.You will be part of a wider management team, and with thesupportof your Team Manager and our skilled social workers, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding our most vulnerable children, families and adults
About you
You will appreciate this is an important and essential service and as such, the role requires a significant level ofautonomyand therefore ideally you would have management experience gained from a statutorychildprotection service.You need to be a qualified social worker with Social Work England registration and should besomeone able to manage competing demands, reflective and analytical, and proportionate in yourdecision-making whilst maintaining a clear focus on the best interests of children and vulnerable adults.
