The Adult Critical Care Transfer Service (ACCOTS) primary role is to provide consultant decision-support, coordination and triage of all adult critical care transfer referrals and to perform time efficient, high quality transfer of these patients from hospitals within the Midlands, this role will be integral part in the support of the service.

This role will be located within the ACCOTS service at our Castle Donington base (DE74 2NP), which is easily accessible via local transport, there is also free parking onsite if required.

This role will include daily, weekly and monthly regular tasks such as data input, data validation, rota development while using a range of computer systems.

  • Following supervision and appropriate training the Apprentice Administration Assistant will be expected to efficiently undertake basic administration and clerical duties, this may include the following:
  • To assist in arranging meetings, including associated arrangements and booking rooms.
  • To provide support with the maintenance of stock, supplies, and equipment monitoring and ordering.
  • To add and update shifts of clinical staff and general rota management.
  • To assist with the booking of training sessions and preparing resources for trainers.
  • To provide support for staff with photocopying, scanning other admin tasks.
  • To develop the knowledge skills and confidence to accurately input data to enable the use of statistical data to inform future development of the service.
  • Ensure confidential information is kept securely at all times by locking cabinets and locking their computer screen when not in use.
  • Attending and taking part in meetings as appropriate and regular reviews with the Line Manager.
  • Be responsible for reporting faults in office equipment to the appropriate contacts.
  • Monitor the team mailbox and to forward relevant emails to the appropriate person if necessary, or deal with queries yourself.
  • To include typing of minutes, transcripts and preparing meetings agendas where appropriate.
  • To undertake statutory training as required in accordance with the Health and Safety regulations and the trusts policies.
