Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist/Administrator within the Heart Centre at Ipswich Hospital.

You will be a member of a team providing an efficient Receptionist/ Administrative support to the Heart Centre

You will be responsible for carrying out reception, administrative, and telephone enquiry duties, adhering to policies and procedures to provide a comprehensive high quality service, and to be able to deal efficiently and courteously with patient and staff enquiries.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for reception duties and administrative functions, ensuring that an efficient service is provided with regard to all Cardiology patient bookings for tests and invasive procedures

Organise and book all procedures, e.g., Angios, PCI, Pacings, Cardioversions and Echoes.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE C or above (or equivalent) in Maths & English

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Good clerical experience
  • Working in an office environment
  • Dealing with the public
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of Lorenzo

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Good general computer literacy
  • Knowledge & understanding of data protection & confidentiality
Desirable criteria
  • Basic medical terminology
