We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Community Support Worker to join our team, focusing on children with challenging behaviour in the Manchester and Salford areas. This role is suited for someone who has a strong understanding of the needs of children and has experience working with children who exhibit challenging behaviours.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide tailored support to children with challenging behaviours, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Engage with children in various activities that promote social skills and positive behaviours.
  • Work closely with families and other care professionals to implement effective support plans.
  • Adapt to the varying needs of the children and provide support in a flexible manner.
  • Document and report on the children’s progress and any incidents or challenges.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role within the UK, specifically working with children with challenging behaviour.
  • Strong understanding of the specific needs of children with behavioural challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, families, and team members.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adaptively to meet the needs of the children.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
