To support the Site Investigation Manager in the procurement, management, reporting, and invoicing of site investigation projects UK-wide. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and rapidly expanding Site Investigation department within a well-founded business.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Site Agent for small to medium-sized projects, or take on a supportive role overseeing various activities and personnel in larger projects.
  • Oversee the planning, management, and scheduling of Ground Investigation projects across different locations in the United Kingdom.
  • Possess confidence and expertise in ground investigation methods.
  • Prepare Health & Safety documentation prior to and during the site work phase, while also managing the Health & Safety of workers and fostering a secure working environment.
  • Document Soil and Rock in compliance with specifications and BS5930:2015.
  • Maintain precise field records of tasks executed.
  • Conduct in-situ testing and sampling according to specifications and current technical standards.
  • Communicate with Clients, Engineers, and Main Contractors throughout the duration of the site work phase.
  • Manage and compile site data using the company's software systems and assist in monthly financial project account preparations.
  • Capable of writing factual reports.
  • Execute tasks in accordance with the company's Health and Safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Qualified to degree level in a geological, geotechnical, or civil engineering discipline
  • 2+ years of relevant site and industry experience
  • Excellent awareness of GI specifications, procedures, techniques, standards, and codes of practice
  • Awareness and ability to implement Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
  • Computer literate and competent in the use of MS Office to create spreadsheets and documents for efficient reporting, communication and record keeping.
  • Flexible, proactive and professional approach
  • Good communication skills
  • Full valid manual UK driving license
